About our site in Auchinleck

EGGER manufactures approximately 400,000 m3 of raw chipboard per annum in our modern and efficient facilities.

Customers then receive the product, which can either be used in its raw form or, in the case of EGGER (UK) Ltd at Hexham, it is upgraded to Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) products for the furniture and interior design markets and tongue & groove flooring for the building market.

A major investment in a wood recycling plant allows us to obtain our wood from a wide range of sources, and not just the nearby forests.

Community

We are a family business and believe that working relationships are strengthened by group activities both during and outside working hours.

Employees can raise money for charities by taking part in organized running events, supported by our EGGER Runs initiative. In 2014 our employees raised £4,300 for 21 different charities by completing 38 different events totalling 1,084km!

The EGGER Charity Committee organises events to raise money for EGGER’s nominated charities Tynedale Hospice at Home (Hexham), CLIC Sargent for Children with Cancer (Barony) and Ayrshire Sands (Barony). We also consider donation requests from local good causes.

Who we are looking for

As our business develops, we are always looking for the right people.

Our technical staff use their knowhow to make sure we continue to be the best in the industry.

Professional starters are the new faces that inject new energy into our Company, while an apprenticeship at EGGER offers the chance to become a real specialist within a few years (and can lead to a permanent job). We also offer positions where pupils and students can get a taste of professional working life.
