The Sustainable Development Goal 9 is aimed at building robust infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and supporting innovation. On the one hand, it addresses the economic sphere of sustainability. On the other hand, a sustainability-oriented transformation of infrastructure, research and development, and innovation are the drivers for a sustainable future.

State of the art

The EGGER Group continually invests substantial sums in its own industrial basis. In the 2025/2026 financial year, we invested EUR 450 million across the Group in maintenance and growth.

Established international standards

We use certifiable, internationally recognised standards and management systems for environmental, energy, safety and quality management. In addition, we aim to have an increasing number of plants externally certified.

Continuous improvement

We are working to further expand our high level of digitalisation and automation . In doing so, we support the continuous improvement of our production processes, for example in the areas of energy and resource use.

Our commitment

As a manufacturing company, the EGGER Group bears great responsibility. That is why we continually invest in our plants and continuously develop our production processes. In this way, we increase the efficiency of our processes and optimise the use of energy and resources.

  • Our aim is to ensure stable production processes that reflect the state of the art.
  • We focus specifically on technology-driven innovation fields and continuously work on the further development of our processes and products.
  • This includes a wide range of aspects such as energy efficiency, resource use, waste management, emissions, water consumption and the optimisation of logistics processes.
  • We strive for integrated locations for raw materials, energy and our strategic product groups. In this way, we ensure short distances, supported by our uniform, digitised processes.
  • At our production plants, we use state-of-the-art technology such as modern wastewater, noise-control and air-purification systems, as well as modern combustion systems and drive machinery.
  • We clearly benefit from automation, digitalisation and new technologies such as AI.
