Frequently asked questions
What are the working hours at EGGER?
We work 37.5 hours per week.
In the office, you typically work from 8:30am am to 5:00pm, including the lunch break. In a more technical role, you will normally be onsite from 07:30am to 03:30pm.
Is there an onboarding program for apprentices?
We start together and immerse you in the world of EGGER. To help you find your way and settle in quickly, we have put together a comprehensive package.
- Your very own buddy will assist you in the first few weeks until you have everything under control.
- Through introductions, you will learn more about EGGER, your trainers, and your team.
- During the apprentice induction week you will learn new things and meet apprentices from other teams.
- A tailored package of training and further education will nurture your special abilities.
What do we do on the induction week?
Once a year, EGGER apprentices spend 4 days getting to know all parts of the company plus you get to take part in some fun outdoor activities!
The induction week...
- lasts 4 days
- takes place in August, so that new apprentices can join right away
- won't cost you a penny!
Can my class visit an EGGER plant?
Absolutely! We love visitors. Guests who want to take a look around can come throughout the year. Just get in touch with our contact person below.
Do you offer every apprenticeship at every location?
Each location exclusively provides apprenticeships tailored to offer the optimal learning environment for specific professions. This includes full support from mentors who work in the team themselves, and the opportunity to stay with us after completing the apprenticeship.
- Electrical, Mechanical, and Production in Hexham and Barony
- HGV and Site Operatives in all Timberpak locations
