Hexham
Sustainable, from tree to finished product
With around 620 employees, our Hexham plant is the largest manufacturing employer in Northumberland. Hexham is committed to sustainability and handles every aspect of the production process, from sourcing trees to delivering the finished product. For example, all waste wood is recycled in the site's very own biomass power plant.
The Hexham plant produces PerfectSense lacquered boards, which have established EGGER as the global market leader. Hexham is the centre of our UK business operations, from wood purchasing and marketing to decor and product management. So many departments in a single location create a multitude of exciting job opportunities. Even our apprentices benefit from the variety!
Hexham's location is near to the forests of Keilder and southern Scotland, which makes it an ideal location for us. Our coworkers who enjoy spending their free time outdoors agree!

Barony
A modern and sustainable wood-processing plant in scenic East Ayrshire
Opened in 1999, EGGER Barony currently processes 350,000 cubic meters of wood annually to produce raw chipboard.
Recent expansions include an £8 million recycling plant and a £4 million biomass energy plant, which aim to reduce CO2 emissions and gas consumption. And we continue to invest: A new lamination department will be commissioned in 2024.
With about 170 employees in production, administration, and logistics, the Barony site offers a modern work environment with abundant job opportunities. A place, where everyone has the chance to realize their potential.
