Strategic partnership: EGGER acquires minority stake in Thai Panel Plus
With the goal of further strengthening its own market position in Asia, the EGGER Group acquired a 25.1% stake in the Thai wood-based material manufacturer Panel Plus Co., Ltd. The purchase agreement was signed on 30 November 2023 and the closing took place on 3 January 2024. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price and further details of the transaction.

EGGER Group: Satisfactory company performance at the half-year mark
The EGGER Group, headquartered in St. Johann in Tirol (AT), closed the first half of its 2022/2023 financial year (reporting date 31 October 2022) with consolidated sales of EUR 2.26 billion (+14.0% as compared to the previous year). This increase in sales is primarily due to the sharp rise in costs for raw materials, energy and logistics, which led to higher sales prices. The many uncertainties and crises and their effects on the energy and raw material markets, as well as massive inflation and the resulting loss of purchasing power, have caused a noticeable decline in demand. The outlook for the second half of the year is therefore reserved.

EGGER plant in Biskupiec starts production
On June 28, 2019, EGGER Biskupiec began to operate its state-of-the-art chipboard production plant for furniture manufacturing. It is the EGGER Group’s 19th plant in the world, with capacity of 650,000 cubic meters of chipboard and an investment of €440 million. With 400 direct and 600 indirect jobs, EGGER Biskupiec will supersede the current chipboard import for Poland – one of the largest furniture producing countries in the world.

EGGER starts construction of an office building in Lexington, North Carolina
In July of last year, the EGGER Group announced that it would build a wood-based material factory in Lexington, North Carolina. A first step has been taken with the ground-breaking ceremony for the office building on site. In early 2019, around 80 administrative employees will be able to move into their new workplaces. The wood-based material manufacturer is planning to start the construction of the production plant at the end of 2018.

Ground-breaking ceremony for the EGGER plant in Poland

In Biskupiec, located in the Warmia-Masuria region of north-east Poland, an ultramodern production plant for 650,000 m3 of chipboard will be built by the end of 2018.

EGGER presents a stable half-year financial statement
The EGGER Group, with headquarters in St. Johann in Tirol (AT), has completed the first half of its financial year 2016/2017 (reference date the 31st October 2016) with a consolidated turnover of EUR 1.19 billion. With a stable turnover development, the EBITDA increased by 10.1% on the previous year to reach EUR 189.6 million. The EBITDA margin increased to 15.9% (previous year: 14.4%).

Profitable growth continues: The EGGER Group records increased sales and earnings
The wood-based materials manufacturer was able to increase the Group's turnover by 3.4% to reach 2.34 billion Euro during the 2015/2016 financial year (30th of April 2016).
