This penthouse was designed as a peaceful retreat above the city, drawing inspiration from the refined simplicity of Japanese aesthetics. The concept centres around clean lines, natural textures, and a soothing, neutral colour palette—brought to life through carefully curated EGGER materials.
In the bedroom, the bed frame, ceiling panel, and decorative partition wall are finished in H305 ST12 Natural Tonsberg Oak, adding depth and cohesion to the overall scheme while reinforcing the minimalist aesthetic. Open shelving features U999 PM Black PerfectSense Matt Lacquered Boards MDF, introducing a sleek, high-contrast finish that lends the space a contemporary edge.
The living area continues the harmonious design language. The coffee table, made with H3190 ST19 Fineline Metallic Anthracite and F243 ST76 Light Grey Candela Marble, blends soft, organic textures that bring visual interest and tactile warmth. The TV cabinet echoes this style with H3190 ST19 on the countertop, while the adjacent workspace features H1303 ST12 Brown Belmont Oak on both the desk fronts and carcass—ensuring a consistent natural tone that complements the broader palette.
In the kitchen, H3359 ST32 Light Natural Davenport Oak has been selected for the fridge housing, upper cabinet fronts, and wall cladding, adding a warm, textured finish. For subtle contrast, F243 ST76 Light Grey Candela Marble appears on the lower cabinet fronts, drawers, worktops, and the raised section of the cascading kitchen island—introducing understated elegance. The lower half of the island is finished in H3190 ST19 Fineline Metallic Anthracite, which also wraps the column post, bringing a gentle metallic accent that ties the space together.
Additional highlights include entry-hall wall panelling in H1303 ST12 Brown Belmont Oak and H3190 ST19 Fineline Metallic Anthracite, combining natural warmth with delicate metallic touches. Throughout the home, integrated LED lighting enhances the serene, uncluttered atmosphere, creating a space that perfectly balances modern sophistication with timeless Japanese calm.
