The new innovation and application centre of the Detmold-based glue specialist glues approximately 1,300 m

of EGGER OSB 4 TOP.
60 years after building the first production hall, Jowat SE continues to invest in the future of gluing at their Detmold site: the new and future-oriented innovation and application centre aims to act as a meeting point and to make gluing technology a reality for customers and partners. In a total area of 2500 m

, the multi-functional Haus der Technik offers an exhibition, laboratory and training rooms as well as the latest industrial systems for tests and demonstrations. Given how important the wood and furniture industry is for the Jowat corporate group, the new building has been assembled using wood construction processes. On the exterior, there are battens that connect the floorboard to the roof structure which is symbolic of strands of glue. The formaldehyde-free glued EGGER OSB 4 TOP boards were used to build the roof and walls, as they have the right static and construction characteristics to act as a basis for Jowat adhesives.
