A success story carried into the future
Established in 1996, the Gebze edging factory became part of the EGGER Group in 2010 and has continued to operate as the Group's 17th plant ever since. The Gebze plant was the first edging factory to join the EGGER Group. Together with the Brilon plant, it is one of only two plants within the Group that produces edging.
Market leader in Turkey
As the world's largest edging manufacturer producing PVC, ABS, PMMA and aluminium edging under a single roof, we maintain our leading market position in Turkey by building on over 27 years of experience. At our Gebze plant, which covers 60,000 m2 and has nearly 1,000 employees, we produce an average of 1.5 billion metres of edging annually thanks to our various production lines featuring modern equipment, and operate in a solution-oriented way – relating to both our product range and our services.
Large global export network
As the world's largest integrated edging plant, we produce under a single roof and export 80% of our production to over 80 countries. We inspire the industry with our products and services reaching 5 continents, primarily Europe. As a key player growing on a global scale, we ensure our operations reflect our development-oriented perspective.
Gebz plant generates electricity from solar energy

New logistics centre provided with 100% self-generated electricity from solar energy.
The building is 30 m high and will transport around 80,000 tonnes of raw materials and finished products every year. A conveyor bridge connects the logistics centre with the main building. The high degree of automation greatly reduces factory traffic in and around the entire building. The logistics centre therefore makes work much safer for our colleagues in Gebze and we save on CO2 emissions as a result.
- The new building covers its entire electricity demand by itself, as well as that of other parts of the plant.
- We save more than 600 tonnes of CO2e annually, bringing us one step closer to our ambitious NetZero climate goal by 2050.
- Every single one of our 22 EGGER plants now generates renewable energy.
