Timberpak Pearce Ltd St Albans site runs an innovative Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) with an annual recycling capacity of over 200,000 tonnes.

As well as wood, this facility specialises in sorting other recyclable materials from local authorities and the commercial sector, including paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, as well as aluminium and steel.

The recycled wood it sources goes to EGGER (UK) Ltd, and is used to make chipboard products. The paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, aluminium and steel recycled at the site provides a steady source of high-quality segregated single-stream materials.
