A team from Timberpak recently attended the Resource and Waste Management Expo (RWM), the leading exhibition for waste, recycling and resource professionals, held at the Birmingham NEC.
The event provided a platform for engaging with industry peers, exploring the latest developments in the recycling and waste wood sector, and fostering valuable conversations with customers about how we waste wood is used by EGGER to make carbon negative chipboard.
During the event, the Timberpak team talked to over 150 current and potential customers, demonstrating their commitment to building and nurturing strong client relationships. The event enabled insightful discussions on the circular economy, accelerating change towards a more sustainable, resource efficient environment, and valuable insights into the regulatory landscape.
Mark Hayton, Head of Wood Purchasing at Timberpak, was a key panellist at the event, focusing on the impact of government policies on the future of the UK waste wood sector. The panel discussed key opportunities and challenges facing markets such as biomass, panel board, and animal bedding, and provided a valuable opportunity to network with industry peers.
Reflecting on their experience, the Timberpak team noted that this year's event was their busiest yet, emphasising the high level of engagement and the quality of conversations with industry stakeholders. The team is looking forward to following up on the positive discussions and connections made during the event, further solidifying their commitment to driving innovation and excellence within the waste wood sector.
Timberpak Pearce will be attending the Recycling Expo in ExCel in London on 15th and 16th October, so will have further opportunities for valuable discussions around the circular economy.
