For us, compliance is more than just adhering to rules – it is an attitude. We attach great importance to clear and value-oriented leadership and support our employees with training and guidelines. We expect them to behave with integrity and in accordance with the rules, we check this via internal and external audits. As a global family business, compliance is of fundamental importance to EGGER, both for our business activities and for our partnerships. The following measures help anchor this attitude in the way of thinking and acting of all EGGER employees.
Whistleblowing & Reports
Unethical and particularly unlawful behaviour may cause enormous damage for EGGER as a company, for its employees, but also for the general public. In order to reveal and prevent such behaviour, EGGER uses SpeakUp as central whistleblowing and compliance platform. If there is suspicion or indication of misconduct, employees, suppliers, customers and other third parties may use this platform to voice their concerns and report inappropriate behavior to EGGERs Compliance team. Reports via this platform are free of charge and fully anonymous.
The platform is accessible:
- via this link https://www.egger.speakup
- via iOS/Android app, using the EGGER organization code 115247
When creating a new report, the Whistleblower receives a unique case number and can set a password for accessing the report at any time. The case number cannot be retrieved afterwards, not even by SpeakUp directly, therefore it is important that the Whistleblower stores the number and the selected password securely. If the number is lost, a new report has to be created.
How long does it take to get a result?
There is no general answer to this question. Some cases can be closed within a few hours. More complex investigations may take several weeks.
In principle, we are obliged:
- to acknowledge receipt of a report within 7 days and
- to respond to the report within a reasonable period of time – in any case within 3 months.
