As a subsidiary of the international wood-based material manufacturer EGGER Group, it plays a key role in the company’s sustainable closed loop production cycle.
Based in the UK, it is responsible for maintaining strategic supplies of round wood, as well as helping underpin supplies of sawdust and hack chips, at its two chipboard production sites in Northumberland and Ayrshire.
EGGER Forestry purchases, harvests and markets standing or roadside timber (softwood or hardwood species).
Operating across the North of England and throughout Scotland, the company only sources legal supplies from sustainably managed forests, most of which are within 150 km of its manufacturing sites.

By-products from the forest and sawmill are used by EGGER (UK) Ltd to produce chipboard panels for the furniture, interior design, and housebuilding industries.
