Fritz Egger celebrates his 75th birthday
Fritz Egger celebrated his 75th birthday on 15th November 2025 and retired from the Supervisory Board of the EGGER Group. The role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board is taken over by Walter Schiegl.

New power plant at EGGER plant in St. Johann in Tirol generates electricity for the first time
The construction of the power plant by EGGER at the parent plant in St. Johann in Tirol reaches an important milestone with the first electricity generated. Since construction began in spring 2024, the wood-based material manufacturer EGGER has invested around EUR 80 million in the next expansion stage of the energy and environmental project at its plant in St. Johann in Tirol (AT).

The EGGER Group is investing in its strategic focus areas of sustainability, upgrading and automation in Markt Bibart. The next milestone has been set. The first short-cycle press has started production.
