OSB 2 Straight Edge
EGGER OSB 2 is our economical entry-level board. Designed as type OSB 2 according to EN 300, the boards are suitable for permanent load-bearing or stiffening functions in dry conditions.
OSB 2 consist of a 3-layer structure of flat aligned strands (micro-veneers). The special strand geometry and strand orientation in the surface layers, ensure their good mechanical strength and stiffness.

The boards offer good mechanical strength properties, stiffness and stability in dry conditions. Therefore EGGER OSB 2 are an ideal economical alternative for installations in dry conditions or temporary applications. Common applications for OSB 2 straight edge panels are:

Emission classes
Our gluing systems fall well below the strict standard requirements for formaldehyde emission in interiors. All our products fulfill the strict E1 requirements of the European Standards.
Emission classes to choose from:
• OSB 2 E0 = 100% formaldehyde-free bonding, formaldehyde emission similar to untreated wood.
• OSB 2 E0.5 = formaldehyde emission reduced by half compared to the European E1 standards. Required for use in Germany.
• OSB 2 E1 = low-emission bonding in compliance with the European Standards.
