The EGGER global footprint is already significant and continues to grow. The Lexington, North Carolina, facility in Davidson County is the company’s first manufacturing plant in the U.S. This state-of-the-art particleboard manufacturing facility was created with the best available technology. EGGER’s 19 other facilities are primarily located in Europe (Austria, Germany, France, Great Britain, Poland, Romania, Russia and Turkey) with an additional production site in Argentina, which was acquired in 2017. The company’s U.S. sales office is located in Lexington, North Carolina.

Lexington, North Carolina is a key location for EGGER as the company works to replicate its European success with American companies. Production began in late 2020. The U.S. sales office, administrative offices, the EGGER Design Center and an apprenticeship training center are also part of the facility.

What products does EGGER offer?

EGGER products are found in many areas of private and public life, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, hotels and shops. We manufacture a full range of products for furniture, interior design, wood construction and wood-based flooring (laminate, cork and design flooring).

EGGER is the global leader in decorative surfaces using wood-based materials, and has developed a complete range of products and cutting-edge designs. All products are made from the renewable resource wood, making them naturally CO2-neutral and environmentally friendly.

Does EGGER have any other facilities in the United States?

The Lexington, North Carolina, facility is EGGER’s first manufacturing plant in the U.S., a state-of-the-art particleboard manufacturing plant with the best available technology. EGGER also has a distribution center near Detroit, Michigan, which opened in late 2017.

The U.S. sales office, administrative offices, the EGGER Design Center and an apprenticeship training center are also part of the facility.

The 15-year development plan began with the creation of 400 jobs with – based on market conditions – an additional 370 jobs in the consecutive phases, for a total of 770 jobs. The multi-phased project has an overall planned investment of $700 million. The first phase of the project included an investment outlay of $500 million for construction of EGGER’s particleboard and thermally fused laminate production facility.
