For installing flooring you need a suitable underlay

The right underlay for your flooring

It is important when installing flooring that you use the right underlay materials so that the flooring stays attractive and comfortable for a long time. A moisture protection film (flooring vapour barrier) protects against any moisture rising from the subfloor. In addition, the right underlay insulates ambient and impact noise, ensuring pleasant indoor acoustics.

Pay attention to the product-specific requirements of the underlay in the installation instructions. For the best result when installing EGGER flooring we recommend our Silenzio Duo underlay designed for the system. In the case of our EGGER Comfort cork flooring, no further impact noise underlay is necessary thanks to the integrated cork underlay.

Skirting boards provide the perfect finish

When installing flooring, to achieve a perfect overall appearance, you need skirting boards to finish off. The skirting boards also cover the border joints nicely.

We supply our skirting boards in different heights from 6 to 10 mm, either matching the flooring colour or in elegant white.
To connect the mouldings to each other, we also have colour matching corner elements and connecting pieces in the range. Alternatively you can also saw these to fit.

Flooring profiles are essential when installing flooring

Flooring profiles for optimal transitions

In a house or apartment, various types of flooring are often combined. That is why, when installing flooring, it is important that you maintain gaps between walls, compensate height differences or close gaps in transition areas e.g. around doors.

Precisely for these purposes we supply flooring profiles made of aluminium and HDF. Our finish and end profiles can be used instead of skirting boards to finish off border areas. In addition, we also have transition profiles, which are used on transitions to doors or on large areas to prevent expansion joints. Between two floor coverings with different heights, it is best to use adjustment or transition profiles.
