We have defined Group standards that stipulate special training for individual employee levels. As such, we give salaried employees that do not hold a management position the possibility to attend Microsoft Office courses, or to train in self-management and time management. Department managers can, for example, deepen their business knowledge or learn new presentation techniques.
Our training programmes for IT and logistics experts make our employees fit for the future. The step structure of the programme ensures the continued development of our team. We create long-term possibilities - for our employees and the entire company.
During a five-month training programme, we prepare participants for their future tasks as EGGER sales representatives. In addition to a basic sales-specific training, the development of social competencies is also of great value.
Wood buying is of key importance for our company. For this reason, we have developed our own trainee programme, which turns participants into highly-qualified members of our wood buying team within ten months.
Six Sigma is an internationally recognised and tested process optimisation system, which we use at EGGER to improve internal processes and to fulfil the wishes of our customers as well as possible. During our own Six Sigma training sessions, participants are taught the complex knowledge needed for the implementation of this tool.
Approximately 80% of our managers come from within the company. It is very important for us to fill manager positions internally, and we have developed three training programmes to this end: the management training courses"Impuls" and "Spirit“ complement each other and target plant directors, country managers, and managers in the service areas.
The programme for junior managers concentrates on promoting social and business competencies with an international focus. We form group-wide teams which participate in an 18-month basic training for potential future managers and realise a concrete project together. In this context, the participants develop correct leadership conduct and learn how to strategically work in networks.
Impuls is a basic training for line supervisors who are new in their position to deepen their existing management knowledge and to acquire up-to-date management methods. International workshops emphasise on existing management approaches used all over the group and aim at developing important competencies.
The strategically oriented "Spirit" management training takes place every two years for line supervisors of all specialist divisions of the company. They discuss existing company objectives and management systems, generate new specialist knowledge and expand their own leadership competencies during this two-day meeting.
In order to develop leadership competence for middle management, our countries offer country-specific manager days.
