The revenue of EGGER Group increased significantly in the 2017/2018 business year to a total of EUR 2.68 billion (2016/17: EUR 2.38 billion), an increase of 12.5 %. EGGER has therefore set a new revenue record in the company's 50 year history.
The EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes and amortisation) was EUR 445.8 million in the business year 2017/18, higher by EUR 96.2 million (+22.6 %) as compared to the previous year’s EUR 349.6 million. The EBITDA margin increased to 16.6 %.
In the 2017/18 financial year, EGGER made growth and maintenance investments of EUR 483.3 million (previous year: EUR 259.2 million). On the one hand, this is because of the new plant in Concordia, Argentina, and on the other hand it's also because there are new plants being planned or are already under construction in Poland and the US. Other key investments also took place in plants in Austria, Germany, and France. Investments in upgrading and logistics took place in two Austrian plants. Investments were made in Wismar (DE) in Design and Comfort Flooring production. An energy and environmental project was implemented in the French plant of Rambervillers.
Equity (including investment grants) decreased during the financial year 2017/18 by 3 % to EUR 1,064.3 million (30.04.2017: EUR 873.4 million). The equity ratio is 40.5 % (compared to 37.5 % on 30.4.2017), considering subventions collected.
