EGGER backs new trust for kitchen industry

EGGER supports The Kitchen Education Trust 3-year scholarship
The creation of a new body to represent education in the kitchen business has received support from key members of the kitchen industry.

In addition to EGGER, other industry leading companies including Blanco, BlumUK, BSH, Hettich UK, Miele and Roundhouse have all backed The Kitchen Education Trust (TKET).

Through the creation of this trust, the kitchen industry will now have a formal platform in which to assist the Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design at Bucks New University.

Involvement from the key players in the kitchen industry will help TKET to help shape the degree course content and bring a greater level of professionalism to students entering the business.

Bob Livesey, Joint Managing Director at EGGER commented: “As a company, we have a strong track record of partnering a variety of educational establishments and are delighted to support TKET.”

“As our products are designed to meet the needs of a multi-million pound industry, we are constantly developing our products, decors and texture finishes. We therefore see our focus on design being a perfect fit with the objectives of TKET. Through our knowledge and experience of the market, we have a great opportunity to help the future furniture designers understand and meet the needs of our industry.”

The award-winning kitchen design course is now in its second year. The three-year distance learning, work related degree offers financial backing to potential students through a number of scholarships, supported by leading kitchen industry partners.
