Released this year, the Government’s ‘A Green Future: Our 25 Year Plan to Improve the Environment’ sets out a comprehensive and long-term approach to protecting and enhancing natural landscapes and habitats for the next generation.
Part of this aims to make sure that resources are used more efficiently and kept in use for longer to minimise waste and reduce environmental impacts by promoting reuse, remanufacturing and recycling.
This is a view that Timberpak fully supports and more importantly already practices.
As part of EGGER, Timberpak is a key part of the organisation’s ‘closed loop production cycle’ for the manufacturing of wood-based products.

Right from the outset with EGGER Forestry, through to our sawmill partners; EGGER’s wood-based manufacturing; our customers/end consumer and then Timberpak’s recycling and finally EGGER’s heat recovery plants, this circular economy is something to cheer about. A good news sustainability story, generating high quality products and very little waste.
In a world full of seemingly bad news, it can sometimes be easy to forget that there are companies who adopt successful business models that are both financially and environmentally sustainable.
Timberpak will continue to source waste wood for its parent company to use in the production of chipboard and play its part in creating a green future.
