EGGER Forestry Limited has recently expanded the scope of its ISO management system certification to incorporate forest management activities.
We were an early adopter of the ISO standards, and almost 20 years ago became the first company within the EGGER Group to achieve environmental certification, and the first harvesting company in the UK to have both quality and environmental ISO systems.
ISO certification brings many benefits, to our customers, clients, suppliers and ourselves. As we’ve continued to grow, the standardisation of our processes has become more and more important to ensure we deliver our range of forestry business services to the high standards we have set ourselves.
Dr Keith Lloyd Jones, lead auditor at Exova BM TRADA Certification Ltd said: “I congratulate EGGER on achieving the extension of both their 9001 Quality Management and 14001 Environmental Management systems.
“Throughout my dealings with the company I have always found them to be thoroughly committed to both high quality standards and minimising the impact their activities have on the environment.”
The integrated management system provides a framework on which to base all EGGER Forestry activities and minimise the risk of system failure and consequential impact.
Simon Hart, General Manager for EGGER Forest Management explained: “The system ensures continuous improvement in our processes, through benchmarking, recording and analysis. With a focus on customer service, EGGER Forestry is able to share the benefits of our certification with stakeholders, in the areas of risk management, standardisation and continuous improvement.”
