EGGER (UK) Limited have presented their official charity Northumbria Blood Bikes with a new, fully serviced Yamaha motor bike and two years’ worth of fuel.

Employees voted to support the charity for the worthwhile service it provides to people across the region and have spent the last two years raising funds to help.

Bob Livesey, Commercial Director at EGGER Western European Division and chairman of the EGGER Charity Committee explained: “Northumbria Blood Bikes does an enormous amount of good work across the region and I am delighted that our employees fundraising efforts and support from the EGGER company has enabled Northumbria Blood Bikes to add to their fleet of vehicles.”

Throughout 2016 and 2017 a range of events have taken place from pub quizzes, golfing competitions, raffles and for the more adventurous regional and national challenges.

Dan McPherson, EGGER Mechanical Fitter and charity committee member who organised a Yorkshire Three Peaks and a National Three Peaks Challenge, said: “The challenges created a lot of interest at work and people were very generous in their support. We raised approximately £5,000 and everyone involved had a great time.”
