EGGER St. Johann in Tirol Biogenic fuels that can't be used in products are transformed into heat and environmentally friendly electricity by EGGER.

The following locations have their own biomass power plants:

  • Unterradlberg (AT)
  • Brilon (DE)
  • Wismar (DE)
  • Hexham (UK)
  • Rion des Landes (FR)
  • Rădăuți (RO)


By using energy from biomass, we avoid approximately 746,000 tons CO2 emissions per year. In total, approximately three-quarters of our CO2 emissions for energy generation come from renewable, CO2-neutral fuels.
