Apprentices from EGGER recognized Davidson County Community College (DCCC) President Dr. Mary Rittling with a self-crafted award for her support in establishing EGGER’s Apprenticeship Training Program.
Rittling will retire at the end of the 2018 after a 15-year tenure with DCCC. Since the apprenticeship program’s inception in December 2017, Dr. Rittling has played an integral role in backing the development of a highly skilled workforce for EGGER’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which recently broke ground in Lexington. Dr. Rittling has also been a key advocate for EGGER’s overall development in Davidson County.
“The apprenticeship program has been a life changing opportunity,” said Lance Hunter, a current apprenticeship at EGGER. “I’m thankful to EGGER for the hands-on job training and education, and for people like Dr. Rittling for supporting the program.”
