Colourful museum design

Museum Grenzhus, Schlagsdorf (DE)

Design concept beautifully achieved using EGGER products.

The Museum Grenzhus in Schlagsdorf (DE) is the largest and most important museum dedicated to the memory of the inner German border in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. The museum grounds were redesigned in 2018 and made more accessible. The permanent exhibition “Red lines and containments. The history of the inner German border between the Baltic Sea and the Elbe” was redesigned and modernised.
Through EGGER, the designers found the right colour range of decors needed to complete the design concept. Eurodekor chipboard 19 mm in the decor U961 ST9 Graphite Grey was used, and Eurodekor chipboard 12 mm in various uni colours was placed on it: Premium White, Black, Denim Blue, French Blue, Sorbet Orange, Coral Orange, Kiwi Green, and China Red.
