Questions frequently asked by applicants (FAQ)


Do you have questions concerning your online application in , the login process, or uploading the application documents? This page provides you with the most frequent questions on the topic of applying online. If you have additional questions, please get in touch with one of our contact partners in the HR department.

1) What do I need to know when using the EGGER application portal?

Use one of the following browsers: Internet-Explorer (up to 10.0),Firefox (up to 18.0), Apple Safari (up to 6.0) or Google Chrome. Deactivate the pop-up blocker.

 

2) User name and password forgotten or wrong. How do I proceed?


When you start with your application process you get a confirmation of registration with user name and password. The password is only activated after completing the application process. If you need a a new password before completing the application, then please click here.

If you have requested a new password, please ensure that you first delete the Internet cookies before using the new password.

 

3) I cannot log in because of too many wrong attempts. What can I do?


Please contact recruiting_at@egger.com or the person mentioned in the job ad. In order to unlock your profile, we need the e-mail address which you have used for registration. Please note that it is not possible to apply via the abovementioned e-mail address.

 

4) My e-mail address is already reserved, even though I've never applied or registered online with EGGER. What do I do now?

Your e-mail address has already been used when you have applied earlier with this e-mail address via our application system. This is also the case when you have sent an application via e-mail or mail and indicated this address. It has already been used since our HR department has entered your application manually. Please request a new password here and edit your profile or submit a new application in this area. We look forward to your application.

 

5) I click on "to the job search" or on "Apply" and the window does not open. Which settings do I have to change?

A new window opens automatically if you click on "To job search" or "Apply" provided that you have deactivated the pop-up blocker. Please deactivate your pop-up blocker and try again.

 

6) What do I need to know if the system crashes before I complete my application? Your data is not lost!

The data you enter is saved until the last click on "Next Step". Please log back in to complete your application. However, in order to log in again, you must create a new password, because the password you received in the registration confirmation would only have become active upon "sending" your application. Request your password here again.

 

7) Which documents should I prepare in advance? What do I need to know when uploading my documents?

You can upload the following documents during the application process: letter, reference letters and references, photo, CV, certificates and complete application files.
The following file formats are allowed: .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpg, .pdf. The size per file is limited to 10 MB. Please upload not more than 10 documents. Where possible, we prefer one PDF file containing all your documents.

 

8) Has my application arrived?

After having sent the application you get an e-mail with a confirmation of receipt. When you have completed the application process, you can have an insight into your data.

 

9) Where can I get information about the current status of my application?

In your existing profile you can verify the status of your application. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can always find the relevant contact person for each specific vacancy in the footnote of the job advert. Of course, we will keep you informed during the entire recruitment process and about further steps – individual contact with you is very important to us.

 

10) Following a rejection, is my application still being considered for other available positions?

If you choose to release your profile, you will have been registered for our talent pool, which means that you can be considered and contacted for job opportunities which match your profile in the future. If you complete an application for a job posting and are only interested in this position, you do not need to release your profile. In case of speculative applications, however, this release is important.
If you do not wish this, you can always block or delete your profile

 

11) How can I edit my existing applicant profile afterwards?

Via Edit existing profile, you may keep your profile up to date, add information, or upload additional documents, such as transcripts and other documentation.

Please log in to your existing profile with your user name and password. When you log in for the first time, you will be asked to change your password. The password has to contain at least 8 characters including at least one capital letter and one number.

When updating your information please remember that if you want to change your education, work experience or qualifications, you must first highlight the line in order to change it.

 

12) I would like to give you feedback to your applicant assistant. Where can I do that?

Do you have feedback for us? Please send us a message at recruiting_at@egger.com . We are looking forward to hearing from you. Please note that you cannot use this e-mail address to send applications.

 

13) How long is my data saved?

Your data is saved in our system for 2 years. This period starts again with every activity in your profile. You will receive an e-mail from us prior to the deletion of your data. If you do not update your profile then, it is deleted.
