Corporate Governance

EGGER has distinct values, a defined model, as well as a long-term company strategy. These form the basis of all company decisions within EGGER and are also reflected in the company structure.

Organisation and Management Structure

EGGER has been a family business since its establishment, more than 60 years ago. The owners of the EGGER Holzwerkstoffe Group are mainly members of the Egger family, as well as the EGGER Group Management. Under company law, the EGGER Holzwerkstoffe Group has a social capital group structure.

The EGGER Holzwerkstoffe GmbH functions as the parent company. From an organisational point of view, the Group is led by the company management, which is advised on operative daily business by a supervisory board. In addition, there is division and plant management.

Responsibilities and competences are assigned primarily by rules of procedure. Competences and the need for supervisory approval are regulated depending on the procedural importance.

Supervisory Board

The supervisory board functions as a strategic committee. Members of this supervisory board are Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ewald Aschauer, Dr. Robert Briem, Fritz Egger (LTR line 1 in picture), Walter Schiegl, Michael Stiehl and Alfred Wurmbrand (LTR line 2).

Group Management

The management of EGGER Holzwerkstoffe GmbH consists of Thomas Leissing (Chief Financial Officer; CFO; and Speaker of the Group Management), Hannes Mitterweissacher (Chief Technology Officer; CTO), Frank Bölling (Chief Supply Chain Officer; CSCO) and Michael Egger Jr. (Chief Sales Officer; CSO) – left to right in the photo.

Managers are also members of EGGER Group management.
Please find additional information regarding members here.

We rely on management teams to run our organizational units. There is one person each responsible for production and technology, marketing and sales, supply chain as well as finance and administration. This applies to Group Management, Division Management and all regional Plant Management teams. In addition, there are staff members responsible for technology, production, purchasing, marketing, communication, sales controlling, IT, logistics, human resources, accounting, treasury, legal & taxes.

EGGER has an internal control system to support the efficiency of company processes and increasing the reliability of financial reporting and compliance with relevant legislation. In the context of the corporate audit through an external auditor, one company department receives special attention every year.

EGGER performs regular internal audits in the sense of a continuous improvement of process organisation and process optimisation.
