The EGGER Decorative Acoustic Panels are constructed as a composite board, similar to the EGGER Lightweight boards. The back consists of a 4 mm thick, raw, thin particleboard, and the middle layer of a 30 mm cardboard honeycomb core. The surface is made of 8 mm decorative particleboard. The panels measure 2,700 x 280 mm and are 42 mm thick. The surface is slatted along the length of the panel and the slots within a panel are designed in three different widths. In addition to the sound absorbing effect of the panel, the partially slatted back allows sound to penetrate the substructure and be absorbed.
