You can easily get an impression of how the floor will look "in your home" using the EGGER Floor Visualizer. With the EGGER Floor Visualizer, you can virtually "install" EGGER flooring products in your own home, i.e. in your own rooms (take a room picture, upload it, select the decor, view the result, adjust it individually and save it).

Floor coverings for indoor use are classified according to EN ISO 10874 in stress classes, which identify and classify the area of use of a floor. A basic distinction is made between the private residential area and the commercial area for moderate, normal and heavy use.

In living areas, the labelling ranges from use class 21 (moderate stress, for example in the bedroom) to use class 23 (heavy stress, for example in the hallway).

In commercial areas, the labelling goes from use class 31 (moderate stress, e.g. hotel rooms or conference rooms) to use classes 32 (normal stress) and 33 (heavy stress, for example in open-plan offices in public buildings) to use class 34 (very heavy stress for commercial areas with intensive use).

For the purpose of uniform, international labelling, the stress class is indicated on the product packaging by means of standardised pictograms.

EGGER floors are manufactured in the following stress classes:

The higher the stress class, the higher the quality and load-bearing capacity of the product. It is always possible to use a product with a higher stress class in premises with a lower intensity of use, but not vice versa.

Multi-layer modular floor coverings (MMFA, EN 16511) and laminate flooring (EPLF, EN 13329) marketed in Europe must be classified according to EN ISO 10874 and marked with the corresponding standard symbol, the so-called stress or use class. The stress class is a quality category according to EN 13329 / EN 16511 and provides information about the load capacity and thus the recommended areas of use of the floor. For standard-compliant testing and classification, the products are continuously subjected to standardised tests that ensure a high level of quality assurance.

The following table provides an overview of the recommended applications for each stress class:

When buying a floor, make sure that the stress class and the CE marking are shown on the packaging. Such labelled floors are tested in numerous ways to determine their suitability for everyday use and offer high product quality.

The well-known CE marking is a product marking under EU law that was created to protect end consumers in Europe. The CE marking for resilient, textile, laminate and modular multi-layer floor coverings is regulated in the European standard EN 14041 and ensures that the product properties meet the requirements for health, safety and energy saving.

Yes. We recommend using products of use class 32 and 33 from a thickness of 8 mm. Please observe our installation instructions and the generally applicable rules of the trade.

EGGER floors are suitable for the use of chair and furniture castors. Please note that these must correspond to the type "W" (soft) and must be cleaned regularly. We recommend to use a poly carbonate protection mat / pad.

For the suitability and use of multi-layer modular flooring (MMFA, EN 16511) and laminate flooring (EPLF, EN 13329) in the respective area of application, the thickness or gauge of the flooring is not decisive. It is important that the floor covering chosen has the correct stress class, which is approved and recommended for this area. EGGER produces laminate flooring and multi-layer modular floor coverings in thicknesses ranging from 6 to 12 mm.

Static charges of persons may cause an electrostatic discharge when they come into contact with metal. Static charging of persons is an entirely normal process. If these charges cannot escape from the body before they have built up to a certain size, contact with metallic / conductive objects will inevitably result in what is known as an "electric shock". The sensation can arise with static charges of more than 2 kV (kilovolts). The static charge cannot escape from the body if the ambient relative humidity is below 40% and when the individual is wearing shoes with electrically insulating soles.

Control and, if necessary, increase the relative humidity (> 40%), wear shoes with leather soles instead of rubber soles and clothing with a low synthetic content. Use a floor covering with an antistatic finish.

EGGER floors of the EGGER Flooring Collection 25+ do not have an antistatic finish in accordance with EN 1815.

Abrasion is the wear of the abrasion layer due to mechanical influences.

Only HDF core boards are used for EGGER floors. HDF stands for high-density fibreboard. The HDF core boards are manufactured in our plants with wood from PEFC-certified forests. For our various floor coverings, we use specially matched core boards and EGGER formulations.

Anything described as "waterproof / watertight" should / must be impermeable to water or other liquids, regardless of quantity and exposure time. If it is foreseeable that prolonged exposure to liquid may cause it to penetrate the product, then the product should be designated as "water-resistant".

Bevels are the slanted edges of individual plank or tile designs that build an intended V joint when installed. In our company, these are called Wood Vision, abbreviated WV2, WV4 and WV4+1.

EGGER floors are available in the following versions: WV2, WV4, WV4+1

EGGER floors are classified in the European fire class Cfl-s1 (Cfl = building product flooring flame retardant/ s1 = hardly any or low smoke development). Within the scope of CE marking (EN 14041), floor coverings must be tested and certified with regard to fire behaviour according to EN 13501-1.

Yes, according to EN ISO105 B02.

Yes, EGGER floor coverings are ecological, sustainable and healthy to live with.EGGER uses the CE marking and leading labels for proof and certification of the products. EHD stands for Environmental Health Datasheet: With public tenders, building certifications and eco-labels, it is easy to lose track. We have pre-filtered the criteria and selected the appropriate proof and summarised it in our EHDs by product group. Our EHDs follow the specifications of ISO 14021.

During the certification of the product, emissions and pollutants are tested. For this purpose, framework conditions were defined that the products must fulfil. The quality of the products will be additionally tested. With the addition of "Quality Tested", the trademark offers further advantages in terms of health protection, safety and product quality. Detailed requirement criteria are specified and publicly available for each product group.

EGGER floors are suitable for installation on hot water-based underfloor heating systems as well as electric panel / foil heating systems. EGGER floors comply with the requirements placed on building products according to the QNG award guidelines. Compliance with or the contribution that EGGER floors make to this can be found in the Environmental & Health Declaration (EHD).

Yes. The floor covering must be protected against flying sparks, e.g. with a fireproof underlay / glass plate. We recommend decoupling the floor covering in this area. Minimum distances to wood stoves / stoves must be observed in line with EU regulations and national construction rules (regional fire venue ordinance).

EGGER Flooring NatureSense Aqua, AquaDura, NatureSense Aqua+ and AquaDura+ can also be installed in private bathrooms with normal household use without a floor drain with bath tub or shower tray, where the floor surface is only temporarily and briefly exposed to splashing water.

In bathrooms with normal household use, it is possible to place a bathtub on EGGER floors.

No, EGGER floors are not suitable for installation in the sauna. The climatic conditions in a sauna do not correspond to our specifications in the installation instructions.

PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) stands for sustainable, responsible forestry and the controlled further processing of the natural product wood. Simply put, the tree that is processed is replanted.

Yes, we only use wood from sustainable forestry for production. This is confirmed by PEFC, one of the leading certification systems in Europe. The long-term securing of sustainable forestry is of the highest priority at EGGER. This ensures that our forests are preserved as a natural resource, place of work and recreational area for future generations.

EGGER floors from our collection bear the “Blauer Engel (Blue Angel)” quality label.

Blauer Engel (Blue Angel): The quality seal is one of the oldest and best-known ecological test seals and has been decorating environmentally friendly products and services in Germany since 1978. The award is made by the Federal Environment Agency.

A product with the "Blauer Engel (Blue Angel)" is:

1. low in emissions and pollutants
2. made with wood from sustainable forestry
3. harmless to health in the living environment

Yes, for "floating" installation, an impact sound underlay is necessary under EGGER Laminate Flooring.EGGER AquaDura and AquaDura+ already have impact sound insulation from production. For these product groups, no further insulation underlay may be installed.

A system-specific EGGER Silenzio underlay mat (or equivalent) with a corresponding compressive strength CS ≥ 60 kPa and a material thickness of 1.5 to 3.0 mm must be used under EGGER Flooring.

With EGGER floors with Silenzio underlay laminated on the back, no additional sound barrier mat must be installed. (This saves time and money.) On mineral subfloors (screed, tiles, etc.), a moisture protection film with an SD value ≥ 75 m must always be laid out over the entire surface and in the shape of a trough.

No, because the PE foam films have no recovery properties and are not sufficiently pressure-resistant.

On the contrary, the basic purpose of the impact sound underlay is to improve the impact sound and room sound and, if necessary, to level out slight unevenness in the installation subfloor. If the impact sound underlay is too thick and not sufficiently pressure-resistant, this can have a detrimental effect on the durability / fitting accuracy of the click connections and also on the efficiency of the underfloor heating.

A system-specific EGGER Silenzio underlay mat (or equivalent) with a corresponding compressive strength CS ≥ 60 kPa and a material thickness of 1.5 to 3.0 mm must be used under EGGER Flooring.

An additional impact sound underlay is not permitted. To adapt the height to another floor covering, we recommend the use of an appropriate floor profile, the extensive insertion of levelling compounds and / or appropriate laying panels.

By means of a corresponding floor profile (transition profile or matching profile), height differences to other floor coverings can be compensated. Multiple installation of an impact sound underlay is not permitted.

On all mineral subfloors (screed, tiles, etc.), a moisture protection film with a SD value ≥ 75 m must always be installed over the entire surface and in the form of a trough, regardless of whether it is an old or new building, or whether it is a basement, ground floor or third floor.

Do not place moisture protection film on wooden subfloors (OSB, chipboard and fibreboard, real wood floorboards).

No, installation on textile floor coverings is not permitted.

Reasons for this are:

• The hygienic aspect (mites and bacteria)
• The lack of pressure stability (the floor covering bounces when walked on = excessive wear of the click connection)
• Production-related running direction of the carpet = increased risk of joint formation

EGGER floors may never be installed on textile floor coverings. Textile floor coverings (PVC, cushion vinyl, linoleum) and carpets are unsuitable in terms of stability and hygiene and must be removed. In the case of a failure to comply, any guarantee and warranty claims will become void.

EGGER floors are manufactured using the latest technology in modern production plants. Stringent quality inspections are carried out regularly both during and at the end of the manufacturing process. There may be occasions however, when damage to individual boards occurs, for example during transport, despite the quality inspections. Accordingly, the flooring elements must be checked for possible defects before and during installation. Damaged flooring boards or those that differ from the norm should not be installed but returned to the supplier to be replaced. Furthermore, as part of the duty of inspection and due diligence, the floor installer must make sure prior to installation that the subfloor is ready for installation, i.e. the subfloor must be dry, clean, free of separating agents, free of cracks, resistant to tension and compression and level.

EGGER floor coverings can be worked and processed with standard woodworking tools. Cutting to length with a laminate punch / guillotine is also possible.

EGGER floor coverings all have a wood-based core board. The wood-based HDF core board has hygroscopic properties, the material reacts to the room climate conditions and can grow and shrink (even if only extremely slightly).

For this reason, it is important:

• to acclimatise the floor coverings for at least 48 hours before application
• to observe the edge and movement joints to all fixed building elements such as walls, door frames, pipe penetrations, pillars, stairs with a width of at least 8-10 mm
• to observe the maximum area sizes
• to also install the motion profiles in doorways, passageways and rooms with many nooks and crannies, among others

We recommend that the installation is carried out in daylight.

Review the flooring boards for possible faults prior to and during installation. Flooring boards with visible damage or defects must not be installed.

Please take some time and familiarize yourself with the installation instructions. In addition, there are short, very informative installation videos, which can be viewed on our homepage, via QR code on our product inserts, the written installation instructions and on YouTube (search entry EGGER Clic it! / EGGER Flooring with Unizip lay).

For normal installation in standard rooms with a square or rectangular floor surface, the required quantity of EGGER Flooring can be calculated with an average offcut of 5 %. Measured floor surface (m²) + 5 % offcut = order quantity flooring (m²).

The following is required: Moisture protection film (SD > 75 m), impact sound underlay* (alternatively a 2in1 combination underlay with applied vapour barrier), spacer blocks, profiles (transition, adjustment, end profile), skirting boards, possibly covers for radiator pipes.

*(not for AquaDura and AquaDura+)

• Electric jigsaw, circular or chop saw, laminate cutter and cutter knife
• If necessary, drill and metal saw for fixing / cutting floor profiles and skirting boards
• Folding rule, angle and carpenter pencil
• Tapping block, hammer and possibly a crowbar
• Spacer

Yes, due to the wood-based core board and the resulting hygroscopic properties, EGGER floors must be acclimatised for 48 hours in an unpacked state in the room in which they are to be installed (alternatively: in a room with comparable room climate conditions).

The subfloor must be dry and clean, firm and load-bearing, crack-free and even.

Elevations ("pimples") in the installation subfloor can be sanded down / pushed off, subsidence’s / holes should be filled / levelled with a levelling compound.

EGGER Flooring NatureSense Aqua+ can be glued with approved adhesives. Please observe the processing instructions and adhesive recommendations of the adhesive manufacturers in the download area of the EGGER homepage.

As long as these old floor coverings meet the requirements for installation (clean, crack- and bubble-free, even, firm), this is possible with tiled floors and fully glued parquet.

EGGER floors must never be laid on textile floor coverings. Textile floor coverings (PVC, cushion vinyl, linoleum) and carpets are unsuitable in terms of strength and hygiene and must be removed. Failure to comply will void all warranty and warranty claims.

The success for a satisfactory result / outcome lies in the preparation and installation of the base, specifically the installation and positioning of the first two rows. Make sure that you understand the difference between the groove and tongue on the board. Start installing in a left-hand corner of the room with both tongue sides of the first board facing the wall and both grooved sides facing the installer. The installation of EGGER flooring with CLIC it! locking system can be done using 3 different installation methods:

• Method A: angled in at the front and long side board by board
• Method B: angled along the long side and knocked in at the front board by board
• Method C: installation in rows by angling the front and long sides

Depending on the planned installation direction, it should first be checked from which room side installation is due to begin so that difficult installation scenarios can be avoided. Subsequently, the room must be measured to determine whether the width of the first row of boards should be reduced. This will be necessary if the last row is calculated to be less than 5 cm wide. Please refer to the product-specific installation instructions (see product insert) or the installation video to find out how to install the floor boards of the first or first two rows. Basically, the installation begins in a left-hand corner of the room, so that the floor is installed from left to right by clicking the tongue of the flooring board to be installed into the groove of the already installed flooring boards.

For "floating" installation of EGGER NatureSense, NatureSense Aqua and AquaDura: max. 10 m x 10 m (length x width) applies.

For floating installation of EGGER NatureSense Aqua+ and AquaDura+: 15 m x 15 m (length x width).

With full-surface gluing to the subfloor (!! only EGGER NatureSense Aqua+) the movement joints of the installation subfloor are to be adopted, depending on the circumstances, very large areas can be realised in this way.

In order to prepare the last row to be cut to size and installed, place the flooring elements to be built in at the planned position exactly on the row before the last. By means of a residual floor board (element width + edge joint width) it is possible to transfer the wall structures to the floor board within a pre-chosen distance. The adjusted / cut-to-size floor boards are then clicked into the row before last.

Before starting the installation work, check that the last row is ≥ 5.0 cm wide. To do this, measure the width of the room, subtract 2.0 cm movement joints (1.0 cm all round) and divide by the cover dimension of the floor elements. If the last row in the result is ≤ 5.0 cm wide, cut off the width of the first row.

In order to achieve a stable bond, a minimum offset of the head joints of ≥ 200 mm must be taken into account, for our long flooring board (format: LONG), a minimum offset of ≥ 500 mm must be realised.

The direction of installation in relation to the profile is always from left to right. The direction of installation in terms of visual appearance is a matter of taste, only when installing on existing wooden boards 90° to the flooring boards applies. Flooring surfaces that consist of / are composed of individual flooring boards, which includes all EGGER floors, look best when the flooring boards are installed parallel to the incidence of light. However, there are no binding indications regarding the direction of installation. The direction of installation influences the visual appearance of the room.

The direction of installation influences the visual appearance of the room. This becomes particularly clear in long, tubular rooms. Lengthwise installation makes the room even narrower, while crosswise installation makes it look wider.

EGGER floors are for "floating" installation.

EGGER NatureSense Aqua+ can also be glued to the subfloor over the entire surface. The correct procedure for installation is described on the insert and in the written installation instructions under Downloads.

To the installation videos

"Floating" floor coverings can be loaded / used immediately after installation. With full-surface gluing of EGGER NaturSense Aqua+, the respective drying / curing times of the adhesive manufacturer must be taken into account.

"Floating installation" is the term used to describe the installation technique / type where floor coverings are not firmly attached to the building structure / object. The floor elements / surface is installed on an impact sound underlay and has a movement joint all around so that the floor surface can "work or float". With EGGER floor coverings, movement joints of 8.0-10.0 mm must be maintained.

By means of a construction adhesive (assembly adhesive), the sub-profiles can be easily fixed to the subfloor.

No, a "through installation" of the floor surfaces is not permitted and also does not comply with the "Recognised Rules of the Trade". Each room is a separate area. Due to the hygroscopic properties of the core board and the different room climatic conditions (bedroom, utility room with washing machine and dryer, bathroom, living room, etc.), tensions can occur in the transition area of the floor surfaces, which can lead to joint openings and / or spotting in the floor surface.

No, the joints are to be understood as movement joints, so that the floor surface can move with climatic changes. Sealing fixes individual elements, which can lead to joints and bulges. Alternatively, the use of sprayed cork or PE joint profile is possible.

Yes, EGGER floors can be installed in kitchens.

Kitchen units as well as fixed and / or heavy built-in cabinets must not be installed on EGGER floors so that no one-sided fixing of the floor surface occurs (exceptions are free-standing kitchen islands). It is recommended to install floor covering only up to behind the skirting panel, so that the flooring can be easily removed at any time.

If this is not possible, the following alternatives are available:

A) Decoupling:

1. install the EGGER floor over the entire surface and assemble the kitchen unit / built-in cupboard

2. decouple the floor covering surface by sawing between the furniture feet and the skirting panel

3. cover by floor profile or leave open (no visible area)

B) Bolt circle drill:

1. install the EGGER floor over the entire surface

2. determine the position of the furniture feet, mark them on the laminate flooring and saw them out using a bolt circle drill (Ø furniture foot + 16mm)

3. assemble the kitchen unit / built-in cupboard

After sufficient acclimatisation and taking into account the movement joints, EGGER floors can be installed in residential conservatories in accordance with the EGGER installation instructions. A distinction is made between residential and cold conservatories:

Residential conservatory

The residential conservatory is a conservatory that is intended for year-round use as a living space. The guarantee of temperatures typical for living spaces is ensured by a frost-free foundation, heating, shading and ventilation.

Cold conservatory (also summer garden, glass house, sun catcher, etc.)

A cold conservatory is not a year-round living space. A cold conservatory is defined as an extension / terrace roof with simple side walls.

Laminate flooring is a floor covering for indoor use containing over 90% of the raw material wood. It is constructed using several components, which are permanently fused together using pressure and temperature. The individual components are: abrasion layer, decorative paper, high density fibreboard and balancer paper.

You can't make such a blanket statement. Thanks to the firm, closed surface of the material, the sound of use in the room is perceived more loudly than with a soft textile floor covering. The room sound, the sound / noise that one perceives during use, can be positively influenced by a wide variety of factors to reduce sound, for example by using a high-quality insulating sound underlay and decorative design with curtains, pictures, furniture, plants, etc. Furthermore, impact sound reduction is essentially dependent on the building construction.

The EGGER Laminate flooring NatureSense Aqua+ product group even has approval for full-surface gluing with / on the subfloor. This has a positive effect on the room sound.

EGGER Laminate Flooring is suitable for installation on hot water-based underfloor heating systems and electric panel / foil heating systems.

EEGGER Laminate Flooring has a thermal resistance of 0.07 m²K/W (7.0 mm thickness) to 0.10 m²K/W (12.0 mm thickness) and thus clearly fulfils the CE requirement of 0.15 m²K/W.

EGGER Laminate Flooring is a tread and walk-proof utility floor that is not smooth and poses no risk of slipping. Walking safety is a safety requirement for the CE marking met by all EGGER Laminate Flooring. According to EN 13893, EGGER floors exhibit a coefficient of sliding friction µ of ≥ 0.3 and are therefore classified in the technical class DS ("Dry Slip resistance") according to EN 14041.

EGGER Lamiante Flooring NatureSense Aqua and NatureSense Aqua+ can also be installed in private bathrooms with normal household use without a floor drain with bath tub or shower tray, where the floor surface is only temporarily and briefly exposed to splashing water.

Yes, EGGER Laminate Flooring NatureSense Aqua+ can be glued to the subfloor.

A list of tested and approved adhesives and the installation instructions can be found here.

An adhesive approved by the adhesive manufacturer must be used. All specifications provided by the adhesive manufacturer, for example trowel serration, fitting and setting times, must be observed. In the case of failure to comply, all guarantee and warranty claims will become void.

The drying and hardening time of the respective adhesive must be observed without fail, before the installed flooring surface is approved for use. A list of tested and approved adhesives with the corresponding information can be found here.

The full-surface gluing should be carried out by an expert, a professional floor installer.

The installation of EGGER Laminate Flooring Aqua+ by means of full-surface gluing offers the following advantages, among others:

• stable and compact floor surface with reduced movement behaviour and optimised installation height
• large surface installation, as only functionally required structural joints need to be transferred to the top floor (EGGER Laminate Flooring NatureSense Aqua+) by means of a movement profile
• significant improvement of footfall sound (ambient sound)
• optimised performance on underfloor heating due to the reduced heat conductivity

EGGER Laminate Flooring is characterised by excellent resistance to indentations due to the high quality / rigidity of the core board. The residual indentation (indentation after constant load according to ISO 24343-1) is ≤ 0.05 mm according to DIN.

EGGER Hybrid Flooring is an ecological and healthy floor covering in stress class 32 (AquaDura) and 33 (AquaDura+) which is characterised as follows:

EGGER Hybrid Flooring AquaDura and AquaDura+ are suitable for use with chair and furniture castors. Please note that these must correspond to the type "W" (soft) and must be cleaned regularly. We recommend to use a polycarbonate protection mat / pad.

EGGER Hybrid Flooring AquaDura and AquaDura+ are classified in the European fire class Cfl-s1 (Cfl building product flooring flame retardant / s1- hardly any or low smoke development). Within the scope of CE marking (EN 14041), floor coverings must be tested and certified with regard to fire behaviour according to EN 13501-1.

For EGGER Hybrid Flooring AquaDura and AquaDura+ with Silenzio pad attached, no further impact noise insulation underlay may be installed.On mineral sub-surfaces however, a moisture protection film with an SD value > 75 m always has to be installed first, over the entire surface and extending up the walls.

EGGER Hybrid Flooring AquaDura and AquaDura+ are a tread and walk-proof utility floor that is not smooth and poses no risk of slipping. Walking safety is a safety requirement for the CE marking met by all EGGER floors. According to EN 13893, EGGER floors exhibit a coefficient of sliding friction µ of ≥ 0.3 and are therefore classified in the technical class DS ("Dry Slip resistance") according to EN 14041.

EGGER Hybrid Flooring AquaDura and AquaDura+ can also be installed in bathrooms with normal household use without a floor drain with bath tub or shower tray, where the floor surface is only temporarily and briefly exposed to splashing water. These include private bathrooms, but also hotel bathrooms that are only used in the morning and evening, or kitchens, corridors, entrance areas and apartments in nursing homes.

EGGER Hybrid Flooring AquaDura and AquaDura+ are characterised by excellent resistance to indentations due to the high quality / rigidity of the core board. The residual indentation after constant load according to ISO 24343-1 is ≤ 0.2 mm.

Yes, the temperature resistance of the surface in intense sunlight is given. The maximum temperature behind a floor-to-ceiling, south-facing glass element is approx. 80 °C. The protective film is stable up to ≥ 120 °C.

We recommend the system-related EGGER Clean-it cleaner or cleaning with a micro-fibre cloth and vinegar water.

In principle, other non-film-forming hard floor cleaners can also be used. It is essential to observe the manufacturer's dosing instructions.

For stains such as coffee, tea, lemonade, fruit juice or milk, lukewarm water mixed with a conventional household vinegar cleaner if needed, will be sufficient. Tough stains can be removed selectively using commercial stain removers such as white gas (benzene) or thinner.

However, always apply the solvents with a cloth and never directly on the floor surface. Make sure there is sufficient exposure to fresh air and subsequently use water to neutralise the cleaned areas.

A floor is not a piece of furniture, it is an object of daily use that is usually subjected to daily wear and tear, so signs of wear and tear can certainly occur during normal use. These are therefore normal to a certain extent and typical of the goods. For example, minor damage can be repaired / concealed / removed with the system-related EGGER repair paste Decor Mix & Fill, with a colour-coordinated touch-up pen, e.g.: also felt-tip pen, commercially available wax putty. No, the fully and permanently sealed surface of our flooring produced with the established gloss level cannot be processed and/or resealed. Subsequent varnishing or sealing of EGGER floors is neither necessary nor allowed.

EGGER flooring is an organic product and consists mainly of wood fibres. The elements can expand or shrink depending on climate conditions. In our installation instructions, we therefore specify that the ambient air temperature should be at least 18 °C with relative humidity between 40% and 70% before, during and after installation. Given these ambient conditions, the movement of the elements is not visible.

Other causes that can trigger gap formation are: fixing of the floor surface by heavy objects (kitchens, wood stoves, etc.), non-observance of movement joints, as well as sealing of individual floor elements to fixed structures (e.g. stairs, pillars, other floor coverings) as well as screwing to the subfloor.

Warping and buckling (one-sided moisture absorption) can occur if the floor elements have not been sufficiently acclimatised before installation, i.e. have not been adapted to the room climate and / or, in the case of a mineral subfloor, the installed floor surface is not protected against rising subfloor moisture by a "vapour barrier".

Distortion of the floor is generally caused by non-existent and / or under-dimensioned expansion / movement joints. Even minimum contact points with fixed structural components are sufficient to cause the distortion of individual elements at a different location.

Swelling along the edges is usually due to moisture penetrating the joints or surface of the boards from above. However, this moisture must act on the boards for an extended period of time in order to cause swelling.

There are various options for fixing the skirting boards. For CUBICAL skirting boards 6 and 8 cm from the EGGER accessories range, we offer system-related fastening clips. Other options for fastening are gluing with assembly adhesive, hot glue or nailing.
