Innovative shop in the world of experience for bike enthusiasts

The German company ABUS focusses on the mobile security of the future and is showcasing this in the expanded ABUS Security World.

The German company ABUS focusses on mobile security as part of the ‘bicycle boom’ and is expanding its company campus, the ABUS Security World. With over 1000 m², ABUS Security World is the centrepiece with a showroom, a company museum, a restaurant and an asphalt course/test track. Visitors enter the cycling world of experience through an illuminated tunnel, which contains life-size images of the famous Paris-Roubaix race and original cobblestones from the route, teasing the circular experience. When designing the 400 m² extension to ABUS Security World, the focus was on high-quality design and a unique brand experience. The H1180 ST37 Natural Halifax Oak decor was used for furniture and back buffets in the restaurant, bar and seating areas. (It emphasises the wide range of possible applications for the H1180 ST37 Natural Halifax Oak decor). The natural accent of the H1180 ST37 Natural Halifax Oak decor with Feelwood Rift synchronised pore surface looks elegant, whilst also looking relaxed and casual. Historic bicycles and pictures from the ABUS archive adds a distinct rustic touch to the catering corner that contrasts with the modern design in the exhibition areas. This creates a relaxed feeling of well-being among visitors, emphasised by the visual appearance. The OEM panels of the bicycle frames and all slatted walls are made with U732 PM Dust Grey. Acoustic wall panels in U960 ST9 Onyx Grey were also used for the stage. The indirect lighting rounds off the concept and supports the pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to this harmonious overall picture, the uniqueness is found not only in the service and the product, but also in the store itself.
