Innovative lightweight board nominated for the Federal Republic of Germany's design prize 2008

Our EUROLIGHT® worktop is a real star in the market. Its nomination for the Federal Republic of Germany's design prize 2008 has now confirmed this. Known in the field as the "prize amongst prizes", it is the Federal Republic's way of honouring extraordinary achievement in the field of product design. Businesses cannot apply for the prize. Instead, they are nominated by the Ministry of Trade and Commerce and senators in the various states (Länder) and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The EUROLIGHT® worktop has now been nominated for the most prestigious design award in Germany. In mid-August, an expert jury will decide who will win the gold and silver awards.

The award of the Federal Republic of Germany's design prize is a key aspect of the design policy that strives to make unique, mass-manufactured goods accessible to the general public. The whole concept behind the EUROLIGHT® lightweight board fulfils the award criteria of the highly renowned design prize jury in terms of innovation, production and design quality, usefulness, durability and ecological sustainability, and is therefore seen as a superbly-designed product for everyday use.
