09.06.2004 EGGER Floor Products develops a new surface structure
Whether it is Apple natural, Walnut, Cherry or Birch: EGGER Floor Products gives laminate flooring a completely new surface.
The new collection has been added to by matt, silky elegance under the product name Velvet Matt. The new surface finish really makes the most of the beautiful structure of wood, thus reflecting the current trend for a more natural appearance. This indicates that Velvet Matt is conveying an elegant, homely atmosphere. The surface has a robust, highly abrasion-resistant overlay, which means that the laminate flooring range is suitable for heavy-duty wear in the home.
Small Collection for Connoisseurs
EGGER Floor Products has dealt intensively with the theme of laminate flooring surfaces for many years. A small, but very fine, selection of nine décors has now been developed for connoisseurs. Apart from the four aforementioned woods, there are also a further five in the collection: White Ash, Natural Pine, Oak nature white, Farmhouse Beech and Cherry.
Luxurious design with the silenzio and clic systems
As with the complete Floorline collection, with Velvet Matt even its construction is luxurious: in technical terms, the new collection is designed for quick and easy, glue-less installation with the new “JUST clic!” profile. Four selected décors also come with the optional sounding-proofing silenzio system.
This new innovative collection manufactured in St. Johann in Tyrol, is distributed among both floor covering and wood specialist businesses.
Annual capacity of 45 million square meters
The company EGGER Floor Products has been in existence for almost a decade and is still one of the world’s leading suppliers in the laminate flooring market. As well as in the main site at St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria), the laminate flooring is also manufactured in Wismar and Brilon (Germany) at 7 completion plants. Apart from the production sites, sales subsidiaries were also founded in France, Great Britain and Poland in order to cater directly for the markets of those particular countries.
The increase in capacity in 2003 to almost 45 million square meters, bears witness to the success story that is EGGER Floor Products, which started off in 1996 with a capacity of 3 million square meters. This success is the result of the determined work of the E.F.P. team, combined with the knowledge and expertise of its parent company EGGER gained over decades of experience. EGGER is a traditional Tyrolean family business, which has been working in industrial wood-processing since 1960.
