The entire restaurant, lobby and reception area of the Delta Hotel in Vienna has been furnished with EGGER wood-based materials. The recently opened hotel in the Danube capital was built by Strabag. The interior design was planned by the Viennese company of Leiner and implemented in all public areas of the hotel by Winter, a local joinery company. Another joinery company, Glaser, finished off the hotel rooms. The interior design of the 180 room hotel focuses on the contrast between the dark Wenge and the lighter coloured Ash. To highlight the contrast, brushed aluminium was used on the plinths and between the individual decor elements. In the reception area and along the bar counters, the wide swathe of dark wood-reproduction units contrasts elegantly with the horizontal wood-based material to form a striking design feature. In the dining area of the 4-star hotel, both wood types again form a pleasing contrast between the dark table surfaces and the light coloured chairs. The design of the breakfast buffet and the bar borrows heavily from the reception area: dark Wenge uprights stand out against the horizontal ash and aluminium fronts. This uniform design concept lends a rich contrast to the restaurant and lobby areas, yet at the same time imparts a refined urban flair.
