EUROSTRAND® OSB OBTAINS AUB CERTIFICATE

Since becoming a member of the AUB (Association for Environmentally Sound Construction Products) at the start of 2005, the EGGER Europawerk in Wismar has also now been awarded with the environmental declaration certificate for the EUROSTRAND®  product range.

Unlike with all certificates already existing on the market, the EGGER document was checked, evaluated and approved for the first time by an independent Expert Commitee (SVA - Sachverständigenausschuss), according to ISO 14025. Furthermore, with the EGGER declaration, for the first time a whole product range could be evaluated, meaning that all EUROSTRAND®  OSB qualities are covered by the AUB.(OSB/2, OSB/3, OSB/3 Z, OSB 4 TOP  and OSB 8000).

The following experts are signees of  the certificate:
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Horst Bossenmeyer,  President of the AUB ( until 2004, President of the DIBt, Berlin)
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans Wolf-Reinhardt,  Chairman of the SVA ( Institute for wood-based materials in construction, Uni Stuttgart)
Dr. Eva Schmincke,  German League for Natúre Conservation and Environmental Protection - DNR, Tübingen ( SVA appointed inspector)

The official presentation of the certificate to EGGER took place on 21.06.2005 in the BMBau, the Ministry for Transport, Building and Housing in Berlin. The certificate was handed over, together with the extensive declaration, by AUB President, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bossenmeyer  and AUB Managing Director, Hans R. Peters  to  Stefan Jacobs, EGGER Wismar.
