EGGER has started the production of raw chipboards in Radauti, Suceava County, in January 2008. The construction of its first plant in Romania started in October 2006.

The raw board production has a possible capacity of 600.000 m³ / year. Approximately 80 percent of the raw boards will be further processed and distributed on the market as melamine-faced chipboard (MFC).
