Takeover of fibre board plant in Wörgl (A)

The vision of Fritz EGGER senior, and his love of innovation, led to the takeover of the formerly Tyrolean wood fibreboard factory, used in the early days to product soft fibreboard. Shortly after the takeover, production was switched to EUROSPAN® 2000 thin chipboard by installing calendering equipment.


 1966  Takeover of the plant - Production of soft fibreboard until about 1980
 1973  1st Calandering equipment V1 is put into operation - Production of thin chipboards
 1975  Commissioning of Calandering equipment VIII
 1982  Commissioning of Calandering equipment XII
 1982  1st Impregnation plant is starting (Impregnation of raw paper with resin for the coating of chipboards with short cycle presses)   
1990   Emigration of the hot roll lamination plant from St. Johann to Wörgl
 Coating of foils, PVC and laminates principally on thin chipboards
 1992  Installation of a cut to size saw
