Takeover of Weyroc in Hexham (GB)

The Swedish-owned Weyroc was taken over by EGGER in 1984 and was the very first chipboard plant to built in England.

 

 1985  Commissioning of the 32 m long single-plate press (Johannes XV)
 Commissioning of the short cycle press for lamination
 1987  Commissioning of the second short cycle press
 1988  Commissioning of the longest chipboard installation of the world (Johannes XVI) with 52 m
 Commissioning of the impregnation plant from Vits Babcock
 Commissioining of the moulding longitudinally and crossways plant
 1991  Commissioning of the glue plant
 Commissioning of the third short cycle press
 1992  Commissioning of the formaldehyde plant
 1993  Foundation of an independent company named EGGER Forestry
 1997  Installation of an exhaust air purification plant for the dryer W.E.S.P - Commissioning in December 1997
 Commissioning of the second impregnation line
 Commissioning of the fourth short cycle press
 1999  Installation of a recycling plant
 2000  Commissioning of the saw
 Foundation of the company Timberpak with registered office in Leeds (central collection place for residual wood)
 2001  Commissioning of a new short cycle press (Replacement of the short cycle press from 1985)
