Entry into laminate production through acquisition of Dekoflex in Gifhorn (GER)

In 1975 Egger purchased the world’s first twin-belt press. With only three employees, Dekoflex became the world’s first producer of continuous melamine laminate edging. The company’s takeover by EGGER opened the way for the installation of the 4^th double band press, transforming the company into one of Europe’s leading manufacturer of laminates. 1994 Egger Gifhorn got the certificaton ISO 9001 - as one of the first manufacturer of laminates in Europe.
