EGGER Eurostrand OSB played a supporting role at the visit of the Pope

Sub-structure and flooring elements of the platform made of Eurostrand OSB/3 tongued and grooved flooring boards.

At the Concluding Mass of World Youth Day 2005 on the Marienfeld EGGER could once again demonstrate the excellent properties and different application possibilities of Eurostrand OSB. The sub-structure and flooring elements of the platform on the altar hill was made of 1200 square metres of Eurostrand OSB/3 tongued and grooved flooring boards, directly delivered from the EGGER production plant in Wismar.

Permitted as load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions, these boards are also notedly resistant to short-time influences of the weather. Furthermore, they are characterised by high static strength and exceptional dimensional stability. Eurostrand OSB with its excellent surface quality was the supporting foundation for Pope Benedict XVI and one million pilgrims.
