EGGER EUROFORM^® laminate MED for ship construction

Lloyd´s certificate confirms MED quality of EUROFORM^® laminate.

The primary requirements for the construction of the interior of ships are design, design variety, the quality of the used materials, weight and fire protection. EGGER is able to satisfy all of these preconditions with EUROFORM^® laminate MED. MED stands for Marine Equipment Directive. This provision includes three certificates:

• EC Certificate of conformity.
• EC Type Examination Certificate. 
• Certificate of fire approval

All of these three certificates are available from Lloyd’s register for EGGER EUROFORM^® laminates MED. An EU conformity declaration approves the conformity with the Marine Equipment Directive, issued by the Council of the European Union. The ships steering wheel [wheelmark] as a product mark gives the manufacturer a clear indication as to the conformity of the laminate.

EUROFORM^® laminate MED is in stock and available at any time from the EGGER plants of Brilon and St. Johann in Tirol as well as from EGGER select distributors all over Germany as format goods in the following dimension: 2,800 x 1,300 x 0.8mm. Furthermore, it is however also possible, depending on the laminate quantity and delivery times, to get deliveries directly from Gifhorn. The laminates can also be combined with all of the products from the 90+60+90 collection in matching colours. This gives people a broad spectrum of design and furnishing ideas and possibilities for the internal construction of yachts, cruisers or ferries.

EGGER produces 17.5 million m² laminates per year

The wood-based material producer EGGER produces its laminates in the Gifhorn plant in Northern Germany. Every year 17.5 million square metres of laminate are produced there and delivered to trade and industry worldwide.
