| Modern shops have a light and friendly ambience that tempts shoppers to stay a while and makes them feel at home. In this respect, lighting of the goods is just as important as a coordinated colour scheme that incorporates floor and ceiling. A mixture of wood, glass and metal has been used in architecture for many years. This trend has extended to the shopfittings, thus reflecting the tendency towards greater individuality.
Assmann has adopted this look in its fittings for the "Sparmarkt" in Neukirchen. Light and dark areas are cleverly combined to draw in the viewer and produce a constant state of anticipation. Dark, elegant wood reproductions are increasingly being found in shops that sell high-quality, luxury products.
If the ambience is to be kept simple, then U108 Vanille or W911 Weiß Deckend are the decors to use Highlights are introduced by using light-coloured designs, as in the coloured glass surfaces in the Spar delicatessen.
The sales counters can also be highlighted with splashes of colour. Remember, however, that larger surfaces should always be light coloured.
In clothing shops, it is important not to present customers with any optical barriers as they enter. Warm, fresh and fashionable colours should be used.
U104 Alabaster gives these shops a light and friendly appearance. It presents the goods in the showcases in the best possible light, especially when used as a carcass colour. The decor F583 Fino bronze creates an elegant and individual impression. Its unusual structure helps give objects a particular accent. It is particularly effective when combined with aluminium, and lends a warm yet modern atmosphere to the ambience inside the shop.
This is emphasised by using the sound-absorbing EGGER EUROFORM® ProAcoustic board in the H1920 Beech decor for the wall panelling. This board has barely visible microperforations that ensure excellent sound absorption. Almost a tenth of the surface is taken up by holes measuring only 1 mm, arranged in a 3 mm grid. The carrier material is a highly flame-retardant EGGER Flammex B1 chipboard, to the front and back of which has been applied a 0.4 mm layer of perforated EGGER EUROFORM®. The back has a black acoustic fleece that absorbs to a large extent any sound that might still penetrate.
