EGGER illuminates the way with its range of white decors

In line with the current trend for white across all areas of interior design, Europe’s leading wood-based panel manufacturer EGGER has developed the most comprehensive collection of white decors available in the UK today.

Popular decors in EGGER’s portfolio include Woodline Cream (H1424 ST22), a textured larch decor, Premium White (W1000 ST9), currently the brightest white on the market and new worktop decor Platinum White (W980 ST82), which combines white with a rugged, deep-set texture.

Andrew Sanderson, EGGER UK product manager said: “We began developing and expanding our white decor offering as soon as we identified it becoming a key theme back in 2006, when we launched our Premium White (W1000) decor. 

“Gone are the days when cream, beige, and off-white trends ruled the day.  Clean, bright whites are a top pick for 08/09.  The trend for using white across the whole of a room was clear to see at this year’s Milan furniture show, and was presented in both matt and gloss, but also increasingly with texture.”

White decors can also form the basis for colour accents or combinations with dark and often very distinctive and exotic woods.  As a result of this trend of black and white combinations, EGGER launched Hacienda White (H3078 ST22) and Hacienda Black (H3081 ST22) in May. Both decors have a linear grain but with natural curves similar to that of a softwood to provide a clean, modern look for kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms, and creates a timeless elegance.

Hints of grey can be seen throughout the design which softens the contrast when the two decors are combined.  The colour neutrality of the Hacienda decors also makes them very versatile and capable of combining with a wide range of colours. In addition, the deep ST22 undulating surface texture adds real depth both visually and to the touch.
