Facts and Figures

EGGER has a solid base thanks to its healthy growth, innovative products and high quality standards. Our dedicated and highly qualified employees play a key role in making us one of the leading European companies in the wood-based material industry.

As a family company with a strong equity base, we are able to largely finance investments in our growth from our own resources. We only use external financing in a targeted manner and to a very limited extend.

All of this makes us a powerful and future-proof partner.

Employee development

The average number of employees over the year was 6,800 (previous year: 6,012).

This increase in the number of our employees is mainly due to the acquisition of the Gagarin plant in Russia and the hiring of new employees at the plants in Romania and Turkey.

On the reporting date of 30th April 2012, the EGGER Group had 7,002 employees.

Turnover development

The turnover of the EGGER Group increased significantly by 11% in the 2011/2012 business year for a total of EUR 1.96 billion (2010/2011: EUR 1.77 billion).

EGGER has therefore set a new turnover record for the 50-year history of the company.

Production capacity development of wood-based materials including timber

The production capacity for wood-based materials including timber was 7.40 million m³ (261.33 million cubic feet) in the 2011/2012 business year.
